Bros star Matt Goss is back with his new solo track Somewhere to Fall.
It’s been eight years since the singer – who along with twin brother Luke shot to fame in the late ‘80s with hits like When Will I Be Famous? and I Owe You Nothing – released his latest album, the swing collection ‘Life You Imagine’.
Now, he’s back to his pop roots with the new track, the first to be lifted from his forthcoming album ‘The Beautiful Unknown‘.
“I felt a strong desire for a new beginning and return to my love of pop music,” said Matt. “I cannot wait to share this with you. It’s time to get back to our beautiful journey together.
“My single Somewhere to Fall will be available August 20th. You guys are rock stars, I love you.”
He added in a press release: “With Somewhere to Fall, I wanted to write an intelligent pop song, and I’ve disguised quite a heavy lyric within a joyous pop song.
“Somewhere to Fall is about finding a safe place to rest our strength. That might be with a partner, in your home, a park bench, I don’t know where it is. But it’s somewhere for you.”
The track is lifted from Matt’s forthcoming fifth solo album ‘The Beautiful Unknown’, which is due out later this year.
While Matt’s new project is a solo venture, last year Luke announced the duo were working on their first album together in 30 years.
“Bros is back in the sense that we’re planning the new album,” he confirmed. “We’re coming up with our individual songs that we’re going to mush together.
“The definitive Bros album is coming up.”
‘The Beautiful Unknown’, due November 19, is available to pre-order on CD (including signed editions) and vinyl.
