Kylie Minogue could land her first UK Top 20 single since 2014 with her latest release Real Groove.
The star dropped the track as the third single from her latest LP ‘DISCO’ earlier this year and, after releasing a 7″ vinyl single this week, it’s set to propel up the charts.
According to Official Charts Company figures, Real Groove (feat Dua Lipa) (Studio 2054 Remix) is currently sitting at No. 20 in the main singles chart – marking Kylie’s highest entry since 2018 ‘Golden’ single Dancing.
Kylie was last in the UK Top 20 in 2014, when Into The Blue from her ‘Kiss Me Once’ album peaked at No. 14.
The star doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon, as she confirms she’s “set up a home studio” in Melbourne to work on new tracks for a deluxe re-release.
“This year, we will do a repack of ‘DISCO’ and that instantly gets my neurons firing,” says Kylie. “What else can we do? What will that lead to? There’s a lot to play with…”
‘DISCO’, featuring singles Say Something and Magic, earned a spot in the UK’s Top 40 selling albums of 2020 and was the highest-selling original vinyl release of the year.
In our review of ‘DISCO’, Retro Pop said the album, “comes just in time to help us dance through the darkness and back into the light”.
