Sporty Spice Melanie C is set to make her debut on ‘The Voice Kids’ this summer, but first she’s warming up with a guest spot on its parent show.
Before taking a big red chair alongside Danny Jones, will.i.am and Pixie Lott, Melanie will serve as a guest mentor to Tom Jones’ contestants on the ITV show.
“Chuffed to bits to be @RealSirTomJones little helper on #TheVoiceUK Semi-Finals,” said the Who I Am singer in a Twitter announcement.
Alongside Melanie, ‘The Voice’ is also welcoming James Bay, who will work alongside Olly Murs and his contestants, while Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock will help new coach Anne Marie.
And it’s a blast from the past on Team will.i.am, with original coach Danny O’Donoghue returning for the first time since 2013.
Following confirmation she’s set to join ‘The Voice Kids’, Melanie said of her latest gig: “I’ve always been a huge fan of The Voice so I am super excited to be a coach on ‘The Voice Kids’ this year

“I can’t wait to get in one of those big red chairs and Spice things up.”
The star’s latest single, Into You, was a Deluxe Edition bonus track on the singer’s latest album, ‘Melanie C’, and dropped back in December.
It follows Who I Am, Blame It on Me, In and Out of Love, Fearless and Overload as previous releases from the LP.
In our review of ‘Melanie C’, Retro Pop called the album “without a doubt her most confident, polished, and exciting release to date”.
The Voice airs Saturdays on ITV.
