Spandau Ballet are back with their previously unreleased cover of Simon & Garfunkel classic The Boxer.
Recorded in 1990 – before the band split following the release of their sixth album, Heart Like a Sky – the Tony Hadley-led track sees the group rework the folk-inspired track with their signature, sophisti-pop sound.
The Boxer was originally included on the duo’s fifth studio album, Bridge over Troubled Water, and will appear on Spandau’s forthcoming 40th anniversary Greatest Hits collection.
40 Years: The Greatest Hits is available as 3 CD and 2 LP vinyl editions, including all the hits plus album cuts, 12″ versions. It will be released November 27th – pre-order yours here.
