Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark replaced their postponed You Me & OMD crew fundraiser with a screening of their 2019 gig from London’s Eventim Apollo.
On October 24th, the group aired part two of Live From Your Sofa after putting the new concert on hold amid frontman Andy McCluskey’s Covid-19 diagnosis.
“Following the huge disappointment of having to postpone our YOU ME & OMD event, we are pleased to say that we will be holding Live From Your Sofa 2 on Saturday,” OMD wrote on Facebook. “This event is totally free for all to participate in.”
In addition to streaming the concert on YouTube, Andy was also chatting with fans on the QJAM app ahead of the concert at 8 pm.
“There may be some other surprises added in – watch this space for further announcements later this week,” added the Enola Gay stars, with the group later returning to social media to reveal newly-unearthed footage their 2018 concerts with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra would also be played as part of the broadcast.
